Dear Changing Lives, I am writing to thank you for your generous Changing Lives Memorial Scholarship. I was very happy and appreciative to know I was selected as the recipient of your scholarship. I will be majoring in child development with hopes to become a preschool teacher in the future. As a first generation graduate, the financial assistance you provided will be a great help to me in paying educational expenses and will allow me to focus more on my time for studying. Dear Changing Lives Committee, I am honored and thrilled to be one of the recipients of the Changing Lives Memorial Scholarship. As the first to go off to college from a low-income family, this scholarship has lightened my financial burden which will allow me to focus more on my education and take full advantage of it. I am going to complete my education at UC Davis as a design major, which will be the start of my career as a green designer. I've always dreamed of designing clothes and materials that will help both our environment and low-income communities. I value education and I hope to learn more about how to help communities around me and our environment's ecosystems.
